HOME REPAIR & BUILD
Our Homewownership program provides homebuyers the opportunity to work alongside our Construction Manager, business partners, and Habitat volunteers to build their own home. Volunteers on home builds are welcome with any skills they may bring to the table; there are opportunities for everyone from landscaping and painting to framing, drywalling, and roofing!
Our Home Repair Program works to improve existing homes for qualified homeowners. Volunteers working in this program will have the opportunity to work on-site with other volunteers under the direction of our Construction Manager making critical repairs and completing accessibility improvements.
Each Home Repair is completed on an as needed basis and volunteers will be contacted with advanced notice of the scope and schedule of each project. Repairs take place during the week, Monday – Friday between 8am-4pm. They may or may not choose to participate in each one.
We are seeking volunteers with some construction background such as, but not limited to:
- drywall hanging
- drywall finishing
- painting
- lighting installation
- landscape maintenance
- carpentry
