VOLUNTEER AT THE HABITAT ACTIVITY CENTER

The Habitat Activity Center is a 5,000 square foot workshop used by HFHMSCO to support the Home Repairs program. Dedicated HAC volunteers work Monday and Wednesday mornings from 8:30am-12pm building playhouses, park benches, and picnic tables which are sponsored by area companies. The dedicated volunteers also assist volunteers from sponsoring organizations throughout each project. They also build seasonally appropriate items such as planter boxes and decorative wood Christmas trees to be placed for sale in our two ReStores. 

In addition to sponsored projects, HAC volunteers participate in community service projects like painting Santa’s Workshop for Troy Main Street, and building picnic tables for the Shelby County Parks Department.
