Your Donation
makes a difference
Sales of donated items from our community help Habitat for Humanity build, repair, and finance safe, affordable homes, working alongside the individuals and families who buy them – a good deal for you, our community, and the environment. Since 1992, our home building ministry has built over 50 houses in Miami and Shelby Counties, OH. With a stable home and fixed address, residents have access to better health care, education, employment opportunities and community services.
Individuals are welsome to donate gently used household goods and building materials. You’ll know that you’ve supported local families and your donation may be tax deductible.
For businesses, donating to our store is a great way to move discounted or excess stock, deal with gently used returns, and show your customers that you care about the environment and our community.
Habitat for Humanity International is a tax exempt 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization.
Ways to donate
Drop OFF
Drop off your donations anytime we are open
Tuesday – Friday 10am-6pm
Saturday 10am-4pm
You will go to the rear of the building and look for the Donation Drop Off sign. One of our friendly staff members will be happy to help you unload your donation and provide a receipt.

DETAILS
Our ReStore drivers will make scheduled pickups in both Miami and Shelby Counties.
Please allow 1-3 weeks before our truck can pick up your items.
We can only accept items that we can sell at our ReStore. Please see below for a list of acceptable donations.
All donated items must be outside the home or in a garage to be picked up.

DETAILS
Pickups available within 48 hours
Any and all items accepted (with the exception of hazardous materials and pianos.) Eligible items are donated while remaining items are disposed of ethically.
Disassembly of items that need it (except doors, cabinets or lighting.)
Fee will reflect Operating costs and is much more affordable than a moving company or junk hauler fee.

What Can You Donate
Items We Accept
Appliances: new and gently used energy efficient appliances
Bathroom: toilets; new and gently used tubs; vanities; shower surrounds; cabinets
Building Materials: bricks & pavers; drywall in full sheets; new siding and paneling in full sheets
Countertops: no custom cuts; 4 foot minimum length
Flooring: new hardwood and tiles (tiles and flooring must be in original box); cleaned area rugs
Furniture: all household furniture excluding mattress and boxspring; no rips, stains, pet hair; no need of repair
Hardware & Tools: in working order with no rust; acrylic paints only
Kitchen Cabinetry: must be in good condition
Lighting: ceiling fans; ceiling lights/fixtures; chandeliers; table and floor lamps (no brass)
Lumber + Trim: 6 ft. or longer; no scraps, no fasteners
Windows & Doors: interior and exterior doors; windows with frame and sash
Items We Are Unable to Accept
Tube televisions or flat panel TV’s under 42"
Entertainment centers and cabinets for tube televisions
Mattresses and bedding
Upholstered furniture with stains, tears, rips, holes, pet hair
Most commercial (non-residential) building materials
All paints (except acrylic paints)
Hazardous or flammable materials
Baby items
Clothing
Carpet
Office Furniture
Furnaces and Hot Water Heaters
Tax Receipt
Most donations are tax deductible. You will receive a receipt for your donation to use for tax purposes. Habitat’s ReStore will not estimate the value of your donation; you will do that.
