This year, we are celebrating our 30th anniversary!
Organized by Shirley Saxton beginning in the summer of 1991, we became an affiliate of Habitat for Humanity International on November 1, 1992.
Habitat is based on the principle of building houses at no-profit and offering no interest loans to the partner family selected to be the owners of the home.
In 2015, we extended Miami County HFH territory to include Shelby County.
In May, 2016, the Habitat ReStore relocated to 1490 W. Main Street, Troy. Net proceeds earned by the ReStore are used to fund our mission.
In 2017, we opened our Habitat Activity Center for construction and repair projects. Community projects completed by our HAC include planter boxes for Partners in Hope, display frames for WACO Aircraft Museum and a cabinet for Kroger.
Over the last 30 years, Habitat has helped over 60 families and has directly impacted 231 lives through helping families realize the American dream of homeownership.
Gratitude is extended to our inspired leaders, those who serve on the board and on committees, inspired leaders, selfless service by volunteers from all walks of life, the support of the community, and most of all, the grace of God.
Thank you all for your support over the last 30 years!
