July 25, 2026 – Habitat for Humanity of Miami and Shelby Counties announces four new community leaders as additions to the board of trustees. Executive Director Scott Barr shares, “As we continue to grow our organization and drive increased impact in Miami and Shelby County, we have been intentional and strategic in adding talent to our board. These four leaders bring vast experiences and talent to our organization while all sharing a desire to serve and improve our communities.”

 Eric Warrick, Vice President and Regional Manager at F&M Bank will be joining the Finance Committee. He is a graduate of Urbana University where he studied accounting and received his Masters of Business Administration. He worked at People’s Federal Savings Bank for several years until 2021 when the bank sold to F&M Bank. He was promoted to Regional Manager and helped transition People’s Federal in Downtown Sidney to F&M Bank.

Eric has served on multiple community boards and committees including The Champaign County Chamber of Commerce, Habitat for Humanity Champaign County, and Mental Health Board of Champaign and Logan County. His past community experiences, including with another Habitat for Humanity affiliate, will be invaluable.

Chad Sherrill is a graduate of the University of Dayton and resides in Troy, Ohio. He brings extensive experience in the construction industry, having previously worked for Dickman Supply before joining Superior Aluminum Products in Russia, Ohio, where he currently works as a Sales Manager. His knowledge spans multiple trades, including plumbing and electrical work, giving him a well-rounded perspective.

Chad’s commitment to community service includes six years on the board of Samaritan Works, and he is always willing to lend his skills on community service projects. He looks forward serving on the Habitat Activity Center committee and to bringing that same dedication to advancing Habitat for Humanity’s mission in Miami and Shelby Counties.

 Austin Eidemiller is the Planning & Zoning Manager for the City of Troy, where he helps guide community growth through comprehensive planning, development regulations, and long-range policy initiatives. He oversees development review processes, administers zoning and subdivision regulations, coordinates planning projects, and provides recommendations to the Planning Commission and Board of Zoning Appeals. His expertise includes comprehensive planning, zoning code updates, subdivision administration, site plan review, and public engagement.

Austin holds a Bachelor of Science in Urban Affairs from Wright State University and is currently pursuing a Master of Public Administration (MPA). He has also earned the Ohio Certified Economic Developer (Ohio CED) credential through the Ohio Economic Development Institute, reflecting his commitment to economic growth and community development.

Dedicated to public service and community improvement, Austin promotes innovative planning solutions, strategic development initiatives, and collaborative decision-making. He has also represented the City of Troy on the Habitat for Humanity Rock the Block planning committee for the past two years. As a board member, he will serve on the Resource Development Committee.

Stacy Pettit will join the Habitat board as a ReStore Committee member. She is currently serving as the Human Resources and Organizational Development Director for the Miami County Board of Developmental Disabilities and as Human Resources Director for the Preble County Board of Developmental Disabilities. With more than 25 years of human resources experience, she has supported organizations across social services, government, manufacturing, distribution, and education.

Stacy’s expertise includes organizational culture, leadership development, employee engagement, talent management, strategic workforce planning, coaching and organizational effectiveness. She is passionate about helping organizations build positive workplace cultures that support both employee well-being and organizational success.

An active leader in the community and profession, Stacy has served on the boards of the Sidney Shelby County Chamber of Commerce, Upper Valley Career Center, S&H Products and Big Brothers Big Sisters. She has also held numerous leadership positions, including Past Executive Board for the Sidney-Shelby County Chamber of Commerce, Past President of the HR Association of Western Ohio, Past Chair of the Sidney-Shelby County HR Council and Past Vice Chair of the Troy Area Chamber of Commerce HR Council.

She holds a Bachelor of Science in Psychology and Ethnic Studies from Bowling Green State University, a Master of Business Administration from University of Phoenix, and a Master of Education in Education and Allied Professions from University of Dayton. In addition to her public sector leadership roles, Stacy provides HR consulting services and is a Licensed Professional Counselor in private practice, bringing a unique perspective that integrates organizational development, leadership coaching, and human behavior.

Completing their terms are Executive Committee Member and former board chair Gustavo Menenez, Executive Committee Member and board treasurer Nick Barley, and board member Seth Middleton. “I want to thank them for their dedication and service to our organization. They provided significant leadership and guidance during their board terms leaving the organization through many accomplishments, including the selection of the current leader, relaunch of the critical home repair program, launch of Habitat Rock the Block, opening of the Sidney ReStore, and the new 5 year strategic plan”. Barr explains, “They have left a legacy as we continue to forge forward driving greater impact. We are indebted to their leadership before and during our transition. They leave the organization in a better place, and we thank them for their time and talents.”

The four new members will be joining a talented board of directors that have guided the organization through tremendous growth in programming and the opening of the Sidney ReStore. They include: Mike Lochard, President Lochard Inc.; Chad Hollinger, Fire Chief City of Sidney; Paul Hill, Owner EXP Realty; Chris Ellington, attorney with FGKS LPA; Sharon Brulport, assistant director Miami County JFS; Kalob Cavanaugh, owner Kasi Services; Jackie Davis, loan officer Union Home Mortgage; Jason Haak, President Upper Valley Career Center; Brian Homan, Vice President of Manufacturing Clopay, Dale Leubke, President and CEO at Minster Bank; Eileen Hix, Associate Pastor Sidney First Methodist Church; Sean Rank Owner and President D&S Construction, Ali Rittenhouse, Owner Creative Marketing Strategies, Joe Wolf, Retired- Precision Strip.

Since 1992, HFHMSCO has been building homes and offering critical home repair services to qualified families. Based in Troy, OH, the organization builds two homes annually, repairs homes, and hosts Rock the Block events. It serves families earning 30%–80% of the median income in Miami and Shelby Counties. HFHMSCO also operates two ReStore locations in Troy and Sidney, OH. Those stores support their mission through the sale of donated items.

In addition, HFHMSCO offers corporate volunteer opportunities in three key areas: assisting with home builds or repair projects under the guidance of a Construction Manager, working in the Habitat Activity Center to build playhouses and furniture, and helping staff with ReStore operations.
