ReStore Guidelines

Thank you for volunteering your time and heart with Habitat for Humanity of Miami County, OH! Please review the following information in preparation for your volunteer day.

What can I expect when volunteering with the Habitat ReStore

When you join Habitat for Humanity for a day in the ReStore, you join in the mission of building hope and community one home at a time. Our volunteers do everything from organizing, sorting, distributing, and pricing to customer service; we wouldn’t be able to do what we do without you!

There is no experience necessary and everything you’ll need will be provided for you, such as all necessary tools, materials and training. Come prepared to have fun and leave tired!

Upon arriving at the Habitat ReStore, you will be greeted by our staff. From there, each volunteer will turn in their volunteer release form and print their name in the sign-in binder. We will welcome you, orient you, give a safety briefing, and begin the day!

Parking

  • Please feel free to park in our building lot, or in the parking lot directly across the street from the Habitat for Humanity office and ReStore.

Dress and Safety

  • Closed-toe shoes are required. Sandals are not permitted; boots/thick-soled tennis shoes are recommended.
  • Shorts and short-sleeved shirts are permitted.
  • Habitat will have a first aid kit on-site.
