YOU CAN HELP FAMILIES IN NEED OF HOUSING THROUGH: - Prayer! - Donations - Volunteering Do you have 1 – 5 hours per month to volunteer your time and/or talents? Please consider these opportunities. VOLUNTEER RECRUITMENT – The Volunteer Committee is looking for people to help get people interested in Habitat and have them become part of our fellowship through volunteering the ways listed on this sheet. CONSTRUCTION – Our construction committee needs people to help insure quality of construction, recruit skilled project leaders, procure materials and help the project supervisor coordinate all phases of construction. ReStore OPERATIONS - Uncle Ralph’s Restore is growing and Habitat needs volunteers to commit to 2 to 4 days per month to help in the Restore with organizing donated items and sales assistance. Also needed are people to pick up donated items and to work on deconstructions. APPLICATION REVIEW – We are looking for people to help the committee review applications and interview families for homeownership. This is an important and confidential position. FAMILY NURTURE - Once families are approved, nurturers or family support partners are essential to a successful Habitat experience. The committee is looking for people who can make an 18-month commitment. The time involved each month varies throughout the partnering. FUND RAISING EVENTS - The Development Committee is seeking innovative and energetic people on this committee to develop and coordinate fund-raising events. WORSHIP AND PRAISE - Chairperson, Sandy Lensch needs members to help coordinate groundbreaking ceremonies, house dedications, board meeting devotions, and other special blessing events. MARKETING - People are asked to join this committee to assist in raising public awareness of substandard housing within our community and the mission of our organization. This committee also works with the publicizing of fund-raising events. SPECIAL NEEDS - Individuals are needed for fund-raising events and for Saturday workdays at our construction site. All skill levels and talents are important to complete these projects. Call the office for upcoming events and project schedules. CHURCH RELATIONS - If you are excited about the role that churches play in showing God’s love through action in the Habitat mission, then join this committee in helping expand our relations with area churches. Please call the office at 332-3763 if you feel called to help in any of these areas of need. Volunteers are always needed and appreciated! **NOTE** For every hour of construction there are ten hours of committee work that was completed first.
